I am a relic.
From a time when we believed in the promise of our great, big, beautiful tomorrows. When our technology and ingenuity promised never-ending technicolor futures.
Those stories have lost their power, erased by fears of collapse, dystopia, disillusionment.
Who needs an optimist futurist in these dark days? Feels like a good time to step back, enjoy my pension (told you I’m a relic) and spend my days yelling at all you young punks to stay off my digital lawn.
But a lifetime of optimism is hard to give up. I still believe it is possible to create better tomorrows. Not perfect utopias but practopias- futures that nudge us closer to a world where people and planet thrive.
So, I spend my days crafting stories and experiences hoping to inspire others to see the possibilities I imagine. Stories that might serve as models for anyone who dares dream of hopeful tomorrows.
You’ll find some of those stories here. Maybe they will provoke you to start a conversation with the people you love. Think differently about your tomorrows. Inspire you to create your own stories.
Building better futures begins with the stories we tell about tomorrow’s possibilities. Let’s dream together.
